The Deeann Griebel Student Success Center engages students equitably throughout their SMSU experience, offering holistic support for their academic, social, and professional success. Our student‑centered approach ensures all students have access to the resources they need, when they need them. SMSU continues its commitment to meeting students where they are through:

• Proactive interventions that connect students with campus resources
• Success coaching for eligible students from historically underserved populations
• An interdisciplinary peer tutoring program that compensates tutors and provides flexible academic support
• A nationally recognized Supplemental Instruction (SI) program offering peer‑led study sessions in high‑risk courses
• Comprehensive academic advising to guide students throughout their educational journeys
• Engagement and transition programs such as Gold Rush Days, Meet Your Advisor, Mustang Success Night, and Finish Strong Week
